On Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th October, St Columb’s College continued its journey on the Global Learning Programme, further promoting ‘Education for a Fair and Sustainable World’ amongst pupils.
The timetable for all Year 11 pupils was collapsed as students attended a wide range of interactive workshops from no fewer than six NGOs, CONCERN, TROCAIRE, NORTH WEST MIGRANTS CENTRE, THE JUNCTION, REACH ACROSS and YOUTH INITIATIVES.
Young people today are growing up in a rapidly changing and increasingly globalised world and on Monday and Tuesday, Year 11 pupils from St Columb’s showed great interest in learning more about the world around them. Indeed, feedback from the workshops has been most positive with the Facilitators being very impressed by the huge interest and interaction from the pupils in attendance.
Everyone at St Columb’s would like to thank the Facilitators for taking time out of their hectic schedules to deliver such thought provoking and meaningful workshops to pupils and staff alike. We look forward to working with you all again in the very near future!
